Essential tips for candle care and safety
To ensure a clean, safe, and long-lasting burn, trim your candle wick to 5mm (approx. ¼ inch) before every use. Always allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container to prevent tunneling. Keep burning candles within sight, away from drafts, children, and pets. We recommend limiting burn times to 3-4 hours per session.
Why follow candle care guidelines?
Following these guidelines ensures a clean, safe, and long-lasting burn. You'll experience optimal fragrance throw, prevent tunneling for an even burn, and minimise risks associated with open flames. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful ambiance your candle creates for longer.
Common mistakes to avoid
Avoid burning your candle for less than 2-3 hours at a time, as this can lead to tunneling. Never leave a burning candle unattended, near flammable materials, or in a drafty area. Do not burn the candle when the wax level is less than 10mm (approx. ½ inch) from the bottom of the container. Refrain from using your candle as a night light.
Please note…
All candles are made for the purpose of decorative use. However, if you wish to burn them, please ensure your wick is trimmed after every burn and your candle is not left unattended. The aesthetic look of the candle and the bowl will be impaired once lit.
Please also do not burn your candle for at least 2 weeks after delivery to allow your candle wax to cure fully, this enables to candle to burn to its full potential.
